Several years ago at a conference at Franciscan University, my wife and I met a rather sturdy looking young Franciscan nun. During our conversation, I asked her what she did prior to becoming a nun. She said that she played professional football. There is also the story of a nun who had played in the WNBA and who could dunk a basketball in her habit.
