The Martyrs of Burrishoole, killed during the Cromwellian invasion of Ireland
Among the many Irish men and women who were cruelly killed during the Cromwellian invasion of Ireland were two female tertiaries of the Dominican Order, Honoria Bourke OP and Honoria Magaen OP, who were living out lives of prayer and charity in Burrishoole, Co. Mayo, on the shores of Clew Bay.
