Archbishop Chaput: When secularists tell us not to impose our views on others, they're just imposing their views on us...
Philadelphia Archbishop Charles J. Chaput talks about the need to defend religious freedom and how religious points of view have a place in the public square.
There needs to be plenty of room for religious folks to defend their views, but imposing one's religious views is probably a violation of the First Amendment, since imposition suggests compulsion. Granted, the First Amendment doesn't confer complete liberty from compulsion, but there does need to be a reasonably compelling argument (probably based on public health or welfare) to override religious liberty.
Joe Biden should say that Archbishop Chaput has balls as big as cue balls. I am proud to be a Catholic every time that man opens his mouth. Especially in this time of universal misery.

ReplyDeleteI meant Chaput opening his mouth not Biden. Biden is a Catholic in name only.
