‘Fight in the army of Christ the King’ — Bishop Robert Barron speaks candidly on the sex scandal, McCarrick and Viganò

“Friends, many of you have asked for my thoughts on the McCarrick abuse crisis, the Pennsylvania grand jury report, and the recent report from Archbishop Viganò. We're all devastated by the horrific suffering of these many victims, and we're all wondering what to do next.

“I shared some thoughts a couple weeks ago, in an article, but I thought it might be helpful to have a more candid conversation today, building on the USCCB's statement just released (https://bit.ly/2od0uW5), which I wholly support.

“Please watch the discussion below, and together let's pray for the victims and the entire Body of Christ.”

  1. Well, Bishop Barron, if as you say there are over 220 bishops in the AmChurch, and it would be an injustice to make all of them resign, then you should at least start with those closes to Ted McCarrick and put them on leave until the reports are complete. We all know that some bishops did know about McCarrick and did nothing! We all know that! So, those who may have known should be put in limbo until others are convinced they can be reinstated. We want action now!
