Story from Vatican News — “During a unique ceremony in the Vatican Gardens on Friday, signs, symbols and songs, ensured that everything really was ‘connected.’”
Story from Catholic News Agency — “After witnessing the ritual, Pope Francis set aside his prepared remarks, opting instead to offer the Our Father without comment.”
Yeah, OK, but..ah...is this "connectedness" the kind that we Jews and Christians believe and not the pantheism that St. Paul spoke against in pagan Athens? More info needed.ReplyDelete
"You must not consent to be yokefellows with unbelievers.ReplyDelete
What has innocence to do with lawlessness? What is there in common between light and darkness? What harmony between Christ and Belial? How can a believer throw in his lot with an infidel? How can the temple of God have any commerce with idols?
And you are the temple of the living God; God has told us so; I will live and move among them, and be their God, and they shall be my people. Come out, then, from among them, the Lord says to us, separate yourselves from them, and do not even touch what is unclean; then I will make you welcome.
I will be your Father, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord, the Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:14-17
Will Pray and Fast during the synod. After reading this and other articles I realized there is no other thing to do. I will not kneel to a pagan statue. Only God the Blessed Trinity will elicit that from my me.ReplyDelete
Perhaps Fr. Arturo Sosa Abascal, the head of the Jesuit order. will announce we have no transcript of the actual spoken words of Francis on this occasion.Delete
Catholics please wake up!ReplyDelete
I watched it on EWTN, having been deceived by Wicca before my conversion and baptism, I was alarmed by the similarity to those rituals. I pray for our Holy Father and for the Church.ReplyDelete
